belljar part deux

ester had such high expectations for losing her virginity but i think this experience along with others means something more to her...i feel that esters mental illness throughout her life is making her feel pressured to experience everything she is entitled to before she ultimately tries to commit suicide...however, i also think that losing her virginity made her realize that along with this there are so many experiences in life worth living for...i just wish that plath could have left me confident in ester rather than thinking the "bell jar"which is so erratic could happen to ester again...it left me unnerved rather than feeling like i had left the book satisfied...if only there was a sequel to the belljar, where i could see that ester lived a beautiful life where she was healthy and happy...."how did I know that someday...the bell jar with its stifling distortions wouldn’t descend again
