I understand that this is about the restrictions women face but where is the passion...there are some parts that i do enjoy like i like how the bird parallels Ednas feelings...like when the bird speaks a language that nobody understands it is almost like nobody during this time can understand Edna's feeling because of the barriers and assumptions of women during this time
I also find it interesting that while Edna is looked at for her beauty...Leonce is noticed for his adventurous attitutde and the things he does
I find it interesting when we are living in such a time where women are running for president and men model...people are often caught up in the way they think people are supposed to act rather than admiring people for the barriers they cross and the things they achieve despite their race, sexual orientation, or gender...While Edna feels obscure in her society, i just wish she could see how far we've come...Spice girls did a reunion tour...Hillarys running for president...GIRL POWER!
